On My Way Home
On my way home I took the late train and I hardly found a seat If I had known that particular you I’ve been supposed to meat (What) strange things happen only because it is destiny and life writes some surprising episodes Then you sat there on the floor, as beautiful as I’ve never seen before
Then you caught my eye, recognized me and turned around pretending you haven’t seen me But I was not able to turn my head as well, I realized how much I still love you
I know, what they say, girls will come and go But sometimes you do not want them to do so I know what they say, love can’t slip away But I did never stop loving you
The old problem of nearly each man was now up to me What can I do to make you know, I have got something to show Destiny led us together, twice now, can it be forever? I would agree with that, but would you? How can I find, in this late train, the right words to make you understand
I stood up and went to you, you turned around and caught my eye, I took your hand and felt your excitants I said the words: ‘I love you.’ You looked so sad, pulled back your hand and turned around and I sat down, no happy end, I guess
I know, what they say, girls will come and go But sometimes you do not want them to do so I know what they say, love can’t slip away But I did never, will ever stop loving you
